Two New York Hotels Allow You to Sleep Under the Stars - NYTimes.com

This month the AKA Central Park in New York began allowing guests  who book the penthouse on the 17th floor of the 134-room hotel to request that  staff members move the bed onto the terrace  before a wood-burning fireplace. A night in the suite, which features one indoor bedroom,  costs $3,000 and includes a bottle of Champagne or vodka, chocolate-covered strawberries and the use of flashlights, an e-reader and a telescope for stargazing.

And four ground-floor terrace suites at the  Affinia Gardens on the Upper East Side offer a bit more privacy for those who want to sleep outdoors. Guests can sleep in  tents, which can be pitched on the fenced-in rear patios. Sleeping bags are not available but, extra bedding is. Terrace suites start at $309; use of tents is $35.

Very nice, but a little expensive. Check the site to see the stunning photo!
